I walked in with low expectations and could not have been more wrong. This is a three-hour epic that never once feels like a chore — the casting, the cinematography and the sound mixing are all top-tier. Matt Damon is a compelling Odysseus, Robert Pattinson makes a genuinely memorable antagonist, Anne Hathaway brings real nuance to Penelope, and John Leguizamo quietly steals every scene he's in. It's accessible enough for newcomers but rewards anyone who knows their Greek mythology. The Odyssey delivers on every level — it's rare for a film to exceed expectations this dramatically.
