FOMO MOFO didn’t start as a business.

It started with a Father’s Day movie night.

We’ve got six kids, and at the time we just wanted to do something a bit different… so we picked a movie, put together some food and drinks around it, and made a night of it.

I think the first one was The Shawshank Redemption. Pretty sure it was that one.

After that, it just kind of… kept going.

We started working through the top 100 movies of all time, and each week I’d send out a little invitation, plan the food, snacks, drinks. All themed around whatever we were watching.

It became a thing. Not just watching a movie, but actually stepping into it.

And across the family, everyone’s into completely different worlds.

I’m all in on Stranger Things.

Beau’s heavy into sci-fi.

Pax is all robots, AI, anything like that.

Some of the girls are into FNAF, horror franchises, anime…

It’s chaos, but the good kind.

And that’s kind of where FOMO MOFO comes from.

Taking all of those different fandoms and turning them into something you can actually experience, not just watch.

We didn’t sit down and plan a brand.

We just wanted better nights.

Turns out… other people do too.
